Terra de Ninguém / Re: Tradução
« on: December 04, 2020, 12:37 »

Cool. What about compiling the client to OSX and RaspberryPi? The source is also available at least on Cvet's fork.
Good job!! I've been busy but I expect returning to assist  and finish portuguese translation soon.

Yeah, your experiment is conclusive. The texts were changed to present players, specially newbies, which are not familiar with wiki the real deal, accordingly to trustworthy sources. Changes shall be done.

One Hander: you perform +5 extra flat damage added at the end of calculation wielding both one-handed or two-handed weapons. Period. The malus comes when using 2-handed, that boost the arms crippling chances. Simple as that.

Bonehead thing: among other attributes, there are these two particular attributes in game: Critical chance and Critical roll.
The critical chance is the probability of an attack being scored as a critical on dice roll. If you roll nice and score a critical attack, it is enhanced according to the critical table (a.k.a. crit roll table), where it receives bonus damage and weapon perksA (KO, KD etc).
Bonehead reduces the critical damage boost, after the calculation, this way, in the end, reduces in 10% the critical damage received on head-eyes. Regarding eyes: thought it was obvious the bonehead would also benefit the eyes.

Books: Didn't spend much time checking numbers but seems Boon's correct.

Yeah... that's how winters are like in deserts.

Estou vivo, checo o fórum uma vez ao mês, mas estou sem tempo.
Em breve pretendo voltar a dar uma força no FOnline2.

Tasks / Re: new weapon sfx

hello Бразильскии, long time no see :)

Hey Lucek, glad to see you're still kickin' around.

Okey.. i did all of that.. but still i cant hear that.. i see that it have like 100k bites size more.. but i dont think that its the true problem..

Sheep, is the original Fallout 2 file .acm? If so, let it .acm, don't convert it to wave. If I'm not wrong, all SFXs are ACM, so why convert them to PCM?

Thanks, I know how to do it  ;)

wab1xxx3 -deagle pistol sound hit3???(it is like missing sound within)
was1xxx1 -some rifle sound that isnt in game(maybe silenced)
was1xxx2 -some rifle sound that isnt in game(maybe silenced2)
wav1xxx1 -some rifle sound that isnt in game(maybe silenced3)
wav1xxx2 -some rifle sound that isnt in game(maybe silenced4)

In original Fallout (1&2) engine, the map tiles were classified as: Glass,  Metal, Plastic, Wood, Terrain/Mud, Stone and Concrete.

Whenever an attack was fully or partially missed (burst), there were special effects where a miss would hit these particular materials. If I remember correctly, there are, at least, two extra SFX for each kind of sound used for each material, such as for normal weapon usages.

That is Crossover, a commercial program that uses a modified Wine source. Another thing you need to pay for.

Using a new free version wouldn't imply in problems, and as I said, PlayOnMac makes things really easy, as much as Crossover does. You won't get much trouble to configure a prefix.

The current Wine versions are full functional and can even handle heavier games than FOnline client (e.g.: MK9, MKX, StarCraft2, WoW etc).

Oh wait, so you're trying to run it on OSX under Parallels. You know? Windows 10 is still kinda buggy, so probably that's the reason of your trouble.

1. Have you tried PlayOnMac? How did you try using wine on OSX? PlayOnMac is probably is the easiest way to get a wine prefix running at your system. And the best, you run the game natively as a normal application instead emulating.

2. Don't want to try Wine? Try changing it to 8, 7. NOTE: If you keep a VM just for playing FOnline, use Windows XP instead. You don't need the extra resources from later WindOses, and VMs with them are certainly heavier to emulate than one running Windows XP.

Glad to hear such good news!

Roleplay / Re: I am searching my brother...

Love RP.
What should we do? Knockout with cattle prod?

PS: 1992 would mean he has at least 230 years. Is he a ghoul or mutant?

Suggestions / Re: Craftable 2mm EC and 4.7 caseless
« on: July 18, 2016, 14:03 »

for obvious reasons, ofc.

Instead, I'd ask to increase the pool amount. E.g.: Instead of finding 3-9 bullets of  2mmEC/4.7 once in a lifetime, increase pool to 9-21.
