My container is too small
« on: July 14, 2013, 18:07 »
Hello.
I just bought zee base - a small shed. At the beginning I was like "It will be enough for now" and then started putting my belongings inside.
Well fuck.
In one container I can stash up to four hunting rifles and nothing more.
"There is no more room kiss my ass"
And for that I paid 30k?

Drugs actually take up a shit ton of space though they weigh nothing....

At least, jet certainly seems to.

"Spacious Cave" case strikes again.

No worries, brothers and sisters, craftable/buyable containers are about to come.

Looks like something to do with high volume on some items.

Now you have given me an idea for a new shop: BLDY's Furniture Manufacture  – Best damn lockers and shelves in the whole wasteland! ;D

Shelves are better than containers, because of lacking opening door sequence, which looks good, but limits access time.
Get some container graphics in here which you want to have ingame.

These are already available:

I'd also like those cubic cargo crates,

they have no opening ani as well. They could be stacked as towers to expand the capacity.

Just out of curiosity: why can't the container have infinite space? We are going to stash all our stuff in the place anyway with one way or another (carpets). Then implement some cool filter and everyone is happy.

As I remember some drugs and other stuff has very strange set volume parametr in proto, 2238 devs fixed it at some moment. So if you guys could test it out, or maybe find this thread about this problem on 2238 in order to provide more info - it will be helpfull.
