Avenger is still far too overpowered, as are most big guns. They're better at close combat (as are the higher teir small bursting guns) than a mega power fist by several factors. Hell, someone dealt the damage of a mega power fist multiplied by a factor of ten on my character (that's 500 damage!) at one hex.

man you forget that avengers are like ęx more expensive than sniper rifle, it consumes 40 times more ammo, so if you want them to make equal to small guns for example, reduce their price first, make them consume much less ammo etc, some weapons are just ment to be better than others, in terms of damage, range, critical hits etc, just fights themselves need to be balanced with weapons that are better each in different way.

It can use all the ammo it wants; it doesn't matter. Science skill and bartering with traders makes that argument moot.

I fail to see why there should be weapons in a PVP oriented game that guarantee a 1-hit kill when close enough. Surely fights that drag on are much more fun and engaging? What with strategy and all, rather than 'low ping + fast click = Insta win'.

And what was that about sniper rifles? We're talking about close combat here. How the highest teir big gun leaves the highest teir unarmed in the dust, raping it's corpse and burrying it in a forest.

Melee weapons should be the best at melee. Not ranged weapons.

I think melee should have better cripple chance. It is much easier to break someone's hand with hammer than sniper on long range or to cripple someone's eye with a spear than something else.

Sniper rifle is a joke. Range 50 hex. Not a big advantage compared to XL - burst range: 40 hex xD.

Yeah this would work. For example 100% cripple chance with the Ripper and Super Sledge. For Super Cattle Prod and Mega Power Fist we could add a stun effect or something similar.

cripple leg with 1st hit, it will cause KD, then cripple arm and then second arm.
