I'm a terrible burster, but this fov feature coupled with my ping has made it almost impossible for me to hex another player unless he runs into me or is immobile from a KD/KO. Its come to the point where I literally have no chance against an EU/Russian player as a burster; in fact, some of them are well aware of it and actually taunt me by moving a single hex in one direction at a time knowing that any attempt to hex them, because of the delay, will result in a ranged burst. It's taken all the fun out of playing burster away from me.

There's been a few, but one of the funniest that I recall was at Glow surface. Talons/MRMC/NCR/etc were on south and either Bears or BBS were north, both sides on mostly ranged characters. Laser bolts, rockets, and 5mm rounds were flying in both directions when a mutant named Big Puns spawns in south. Now you'd think if someone spawned into such a barrage of fire, their first reaction would be to go out as soon as possible. But no, Big Puns walks gingerly across the field of fire, rockets and lasers whizzing by to his left and right and in between Avengers bursting, and enters the hole without a scratch.

There was a new Junktown Scout, his name was Forty-Two Seven or some such, that wanted some help leveling his character, and asked to join him for a caravan. I meet him Hub north and he's with another player with a very similar name to his. I thought nothing of it and we go on caravan, but he wants to go turn-based. So we are on our way, and the turns are absolutely brutal in length. It's as if he were physically running to another computer to move the other character. After a few encounters I tell him, look, if you want to level your other character, this is taking way too long, we can take it to toxic caves or something. To which he replied, "Oh, sorry, but I'm not on that other character. It's my 5 yr old son"

I've never had to turn off faction icons and later re-enable, just log out and log back in and they would appear.

The newest event has been relegated to a similar status as Ammo Delivery, an event that very few go to, let alone fight over. I've even seen instances where players backstab the ones who go to do it, and NOT even bothering to go through the effort to open the boxes after. So I would think a buff is very much warranted, particularly as this is the newest event introduced on server. And while I'm aware it can spawn T4 parts, it does this with such low probability. So my suggestions would be one of the following:

1) Ditch the T4 part, and instead have a chance of spawning a T4 weapon, or
2) Will always spawn a number of EMP grenades (random from 2-10)

Thoughts?

The NCR circle on wm, instead of green, could be red for members of faction that have bad karma there at least.
But I still with first point: This thing must end.


I would agree that it shouldn't be green, but marked orange like any other unsafe town (why would it be marked red? It isn't a dungeon). Not to protect fools who can't be bothered to tell their own members that Shady Sands guards will shoot them on sight, but because new players in particular are susceptible to the usual tricks to kill them to take their belongings. Though maybe UV players need a necro-like prompt before entering: "You are about to enter a most dangerous place...BOO!"

When NCR was enemies with the Brotherhood of Steel, the guards of the BoS bunker location (marked green no less!) would fire on NCR players who entered. All new and existing NCR players were informed that BoS was an unsafe location, No whining, no crying, just choices and the consequences of such based on relations between the two factions. If you can't manage to tell your guys the same, then you're incompetent.

Shady Sands?

That town i "never" visit (two times fighting in raid) because when i played clan members were blacklisted?
I heard about new map, shops, quests, people creating separate characters to even enter that town? WTF. I refuse to level up character only for entering and using alts in this game only for function like this.

Also i understand there is some role-play thing but for me its dead city, but it has some deeper purpose and mystery so its OK i think.
It should work but doesn't because people can create unlimited characters with unlimited connections to clans/towns.

Every city aside from Hub is a dead city. Exception perhaps for Vault City, for all the sim fanatics.

First and foremost, if you're complaining that you can't keep your faction alive because you can't enter Shady Sands to trade and do box lifting quests, its time to hang it up and pass it along to someone else.

With that out of the way, being that this game is based off an RPG, that there are consequences for choices you make. Unless something has changed, the only way for a faction to be blacklisted within Shady Sands is if they raid Shady Sands (fighting NCR outside of Shady doesn't get you listed). This makes logical sense, no? Just because your name would be Ultraaaabviolence, but you wear your gangs colors, the guards would have to be stupid enough to let you enter the city freely or treat you solely like an individual.

Now my advice, since you're having trouble with your faction, would be to have a little fucking individuality for your members instead of cookie cutter names you come up with while eating alphabet soup. Maybe they'd play more if they didn't have to be known as Ultraaaacviolence.

I'm well aware that no one has been banned for it.  Devs are very picky on what they choose to enforce in this game; I believe there is nothing worse than an inconsistent ruleset.  However, I also understand there are barriers due to the engine that may make fixes time consuming to undertake.  As I said, the non-aggro spots defeat the INTENT of the presence of the robots, just the same if there were similar non-aggro spots on Ares Surface, or Mari exterior.  Just as the old "punch-from-elevator" trick was used to hide your presence in glow (and that one was deemed an exploit).  That's very different from manipulating the AI into chokepoints.  The two aren't related at all.

It's an exploit that defeats the intent of the npc's on that level.  That's different than say blocking a doorway and having only one attack you at a time or running around them (which is taking advantage of the AI).

Ok, I'll take a semi-serious stab at why.  Because it essentially seems like a Reloaded weapon.  Now I haven't played Reloaded, but players who have come from there into Junktown Scouts had a predilection towards range bursting builds ("I want to range burst for maximum damage").  From what I understand its a more prevalent play-style over there that doesn't fully mesh well on this server, but plasma gatling is sort of like a sop to that kind of gameplay.  Two plasma gatlings targeting one player in CAMk2 is essentially instakill; one plasma gatling alone is enough if the player doesn't immediately recognize the initial hit.

If incorporating new ammo isn't feasible, then I would suggest making Navy Armor easier to obtain than it is currently, with the catch being it cannot be found modded (so it would always have slight weaknesses to fire, explode, and to a lesser extent, normal dmg).  So if Ranger armor has a value of around 100k caps, and enclave/brotherhood armor around 120-180k, something commensurate to 220k in value would seem about right; whatever the spawn rate of enclave armor, make Navy armor x1.5 as rare in whatever event/dungeon you choose to assign it to.
