I think at this point, the voting can be calculated as being pretty much even.

Or in other words, half of voters would like to see wipes on a schedule, and half would not.

Now without trying to assume too much as for their reasoning for why they voted the way they did, we can at least come to the conclusion that we are pretty far away from having something that is anywhere close to never needing another wipe, in terms of the current product.

For now, I am going to lock this. Thanks to all participants!

Ahh, I see. I didn't realize that much went into it, T-888.

You are as beautiful and wise as you are deadly in close combat ^^

Thanks for letting me know!

all decoration items, ie desk, shower etc.

plus make them all weightless because they have nothing to do with PvP

Such thing cannot happen in guarded towns of out many reasons. Hell. Let's play minigame and make community state some of the obvious ones. Go!~

That's...actually pretty cool idea.

+1

Yes! TY! I love this idea, it would be nice!

I think it was on 2238 where you were able to dig graves for random items lost on the wasteland, and so I spent time in redding farming those graves.

That's when I came up with this idea, so every once in a while the barrel would be ready similar to the graves, and it would bring some extra non-faction PvP to the game. But some barrels could be much longer timer between activations than those graves were, and they would have the better loot chance ;)

worst is when you're level 4 glow going to level 5 and turn your weapon into shiny metal chunks lol..

which isn't possible anymore after an anti musashi update - no science in dungeons. ::)

8+selfclick is nice as is. Just the restrictions when it comes to repairing others (have to be in the same faction as you/ no options for weapons) could use some work.

ah I remember reading that in the patch notes, but totally forgot all about it.

What if they made it so you could repair on anybody provided you had 160 repair? (I think 160 is max)

that way you can't use it as a grief tool and repair other people with a low repair character in order to break their items.

Might help in some situations.

Sure, but I am talking about situation when i need to repair while I am on worldmap, f.e. alt+5 works for FA-yourself on worldmap, there is no same for repair, is it?

at least then you can go to your base and restock, worst is when you're level 4 glow going to level 5 and turn your weapon into shiny metal chunks lol..

didn't know about repair on self!

Suggestions / Introducing: Barrel events!
« on: December 18, 2016, 13:09 »
Ok, so. Barrel events is an idea I had for a mini-event that could be activated by players.

How it works:

Empty barrels are placed in certain areas inside of un-guarded* towns.

A player will use the barrel, and the barrel becomes a flaming barrel.

The light from the barrel will attract nasty ghouls and other creatures to the location in waves, and they will attack any players that are nearby.

After the event is complete, the barrel will not be able to be activated again for 'x' amount of time.

That's basically all you need to know about barrel events! The amount of mobs, type of mobs, number of waves, and if there is or isn't a boss at the end with a chance to drop nice loot is up to the programmer. Each barrel will have a specific event tied to it.

Thoughts? I don't know anything about coding, especially with regards to what is or isn't possible with fallout online, so let me know if this is an easy thing to do or not! ty!

What on Earth is tier 5? I thought tier 4 is gay enough.

lol good catch! Sorry, there is no tier 5 in fonline. I was confusing it with another game.

Tier 1 2 month?
Fuck you

Yeah, you want tier 4-5 as soon as possible for your hexbot cheats. I get it now.

Wondering if I need to re-run the poll now after mass banning.

Edit* And just to clarify, tier 2 items would be slowly released during the first two months, but overall the model I provided is just a rough estimate. I thought they did an awesome job with the tech progression for session 3

Anyway, its a shame to publish personal correspondence

Cheating at PvP is worse, you forgot to mention.

One thing they could do is, when wipe happens, whoever has the most tokens at the time of the wipe will get their choice of any item in the game for the next round.

it might be a bit unbalanced, when someone has power armor while everyone else is still in tier 1 tech progression, but then you have to consider how many tokens went unused by everyone throughout the session. it's balanced.

I'm trying to figure out what the popular vote would be for having wipes on a schedule.

What I would like to see is having each part of the tech progression set to a certain amount of time. Something like this:

Tier 1 - 2 months
Tier 2 - 3 months
Tier 3 - 4 months
Tier 4 - 6 months
Tier 5 - 9 months
Wipe

How this works is that, by the time the first 2 months are over, all of tier 2 will be unlocked, and so on. So throughout the first two months, tier 2 items will become unlocked, at the discretion of the admins. Even maybe some tier 3 equipment could become unlocked during the first two months, but definitely by the time 5 months has passed, all of tier 3 must be available at the workbench.

I like the rat race. Tech progression is appealing to me on a personal level. I think it's the best way to create a use for the lower tier items. Let me know if you agree or disagree, or what your preference for the scheduling model would look like.
