Faction Icons Disabled After Server Update

Seems like after every server update I have to re-enable faction icons by turning them off, then logging out and turning them back on.

Any chance this could be fixed now that the source is public?

I've never had to turn off faction icons and later re-enable, just log out and log back in and they would appear.
